Police urge Barbadians to heed Temporary Traffic Arrangements re: Lighting Ceremony & Bajan Brew

City Nite 2

The Lighting Ceremony and Bajan Brew will take place at National Heroes Square on Thursday, 1st November 2012 from 5 PM and 7 PM respectively, concluding at 10 PM. A number of temporary traffic arrangements will be in effect to facilitate these events.

Road Closure

Wharf Road, from its junction with Bridge Street, will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 4 PM until 11 PM.

{FILE IMAGE}Trafalgar Street, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Rickett Street, will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7 AM to 11 PM.

The in-bound lanes (those leading to Wharf Road) along the Charles Duncan O’Neal Bridge will be closed from 4 PM until 11 PM.

Traffic Diversion

Traffic travelling along Broad Street will be diverted onto High Street.

Parking

Parking for VIP’s will be permitted at the Parliament Buildings, along Rickett Street and Palmetto Street.

Vehicles bearing a yellow sticker will be permitted to park at the BTI Car Park while those bearing an orange sticker will be permitted to park in the Bethel Methodist Church’s Car Park.

N.B. – Please note that the right lane along Trafalgar Street will be closed from 7 AM on Wednesday, 31st October 2012 to facilitate the setting up of the stage.
