
On Monday October 10, 2011, Trinidad and Tobago’s premier contemporary modern dance company, the , hit the Little Carib stage commencing technical rehearsals as it prepares to unveil its 2011 dance season, SIGHTS and SOUNDS. The show premieres this Friday October 14, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. and continues nightly until Sunday October 16, 2011. In light of Trinidad and Tobago’s current curfew, the company will present an intermission-free production running for just over an hour.

2011 has marked a year of change and progress for NDDCI’s founder and artistic director, Noble Douglas. Douglas has embarked on a new era in her artistic career with the launch of the . This non-profit organisation is committed to fostering the highest standards in performance and the creative process by raising finances and improving access to resources in order to facilitate the development of resilient, forward-thinking institutions and programmes grounded in a respect for cultural traditions while supporting and strengthening the work of both NDDCI and Douglas’s children’s theatre company, Lilliput Theatre.

In her mission to ensure the continuance of her life’s work, Douglas has taken young dancers under her wing as she grooms the next generation of NDDCI. This season, these committed apprentices will make their sophomore appearance supported by the company’s finest including Charlene Harris, Louanna Martin, Charlene Rollock, Arlene Frank, Simone Camps, Kyra Santana, Malvani Seelal Alexander, Dominique Doyle, Sherid Mason, Kevin Jack and Kwasi Romero.
