In Harold Pinter‘s “The Lover,” is an intriguing one act comedy re-imagined for the Caribbean will be followed by a short celebration of Pinter’s poetry.
The poetry will then be followed by twice award winning jazz singer and pianist Miss Liane Carroll arriving directly from Ronnie Scott‘s jazz club in London and performing the Great American Songbook with special Barbadian guests including and Carole George.
Harold Pinter was a Nobel Prize winning playwright and giant of contemporary theatre, a cricket loving political and peace activist who regularly visited Barbados!

The season as usual will unite talent from the UK and from Barbados in both halves of the show. got a chance to speak with the pair bringing “The Lover” to life, they were taking a quick break from rehearsals when I caught up with them; Howard Antony (Barbadian descended Briton) and Endy McKay (British) who shared some background and spoke of the play…
