DESTRUCTION OF DRUGS IN POLICE CUSTODY
Police from the Southern Division under the supervision of Acting Superintendent of Police Mrs. Elphene Moore conducted an exercise this weekend, where 1,133 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $2.26 million and 3.6 kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of $181.000.00 Barbados Currency was destroyed.

These drugs came into police custody by various means and were all the subject of criminal investigations within the Oistins, District ‘B’, District ‘C’ and Holetown jurisdictions.
These matters have all been adjudicated by the various courts in whose jurisdiction the matters fell and the drugs were authorized for disposal.
