Windward’s Intermediate team wrapped up their match against The Alexandra School on Saturday. Continuing from last weeks 128/3, the St. Peter team put on a gallant effort and made 209 all out to add to their first innings score of 158, with WCC bowlers Shae Branch claiming 3 wickets for 31 runs, Sean Thornton 3 for 38 and Ronaldo “Callie” Callender taking 3 for 59 in the second innings.

The guys from the green and gold then took to the pitch for their second innings at bat. Needing 40 runs to win the match, Alan Branch hit 22 runs, giving Windward the win with a score of 42/2, and winning the match by 8 wickets.

The Intermediate side, who currently sit in second place in Zone B, with a mere 1 point separating them from Malvern who occupies the top spot, travel to Black Rock, St. Michael to start their final regular season match on Saturday November 2nd against The Psychiatric Hospital.

At Dash Valley, our Second Division side played to a draw against MappWest. Continuing from last weeks 159/4 the home team added a further 16 runs for 2 wickets in the 4 overs remaining giving them a first innings lead of 42 runs. Windward then started their second innings and batted the entire day, making 157/7 in 55 overs, with David Sealy getting 69, Richard Cox 21, Dindial Ramrattan 17 and Kemar Carter 16. They start their final regular season match against Malvern, at our Lucas Street ground on Saturday November 2nd.
