BWA’s Update on Alleynedale Pumping Station

BRFU Pirates 018

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is pleased to update Barbadians that electrical issues experienced by the Barbados Light & Power Company (BLPC) at the Alleynedale station got resolved today and pumping resumed at the facility.

While this station is back online, it did in turn impact levels at Half Acre and Lamberts and it will take some time for these systems to be recharged.

Hence customers in some St. Peter and St. Lucy areas may continue to experience outages and low pressure today Friday.

Meanwhile, levels at the Apes Hill and Golden Ridge Reservoirs have improved and pumping resumed from these facilities albeit at a reduced flow.

BWA’s tanker crews will continue to assist customers in affected districts as a temporary measure.

The Barbados Water Authority sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused to its valued customers.
