Hurricane Dorian hammers the Bahamas, then moves closer to US

Hurricane Dorian is ravaging the Bahamas after it made landfall as a Category 5 storm.

It’s one of the most powerful storms ever to hit the Atlantic, wrecking 13,000 homes.

The storm has weakened slightly but it is still considered life-threatening.
And it’s expected to make its way to the southeast coast of the US.

Al Jazeera’s Andy Gallacher reports from Florida.
