Digicel just revealed they reached an amicable agreement with the Government of Antigua & Barbuda in regard to the provision of future spectrum arrangements to enhance telephony and Internet services in the country.

Digicel welcomes this positive engagement and believes this signals a new era of constructive relations with the Government and will benefit citizens, businesses as well as the Government and Government services in Antigua & Barbuda. They’re particularly satisfied with the automatic continuity of licenses beyond 2021. This will allow them to invest further to bring world class services to the people of Antigua & Barbuda.

It has always been Digicel’s policy that relationships are built on mutual confidence, trust and on consultation. In working together and with direct dialogue with the Government, both Government and Digicel have found a mutually satisfactory way forward.

They appreciate greatly the role of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications & Information Technology and the Minister for Public Utilities, Civil Aviation & Transportation for their availability over the last number of months and assisting the telecoms provide in reaching this agreement.
