HBO Latin America just announced a new feature in its HBO GO platform, enabling temporary content downloads for certain titles and allowing subscribers to view, even when they’re offline, up to 15 downloaded titles.

Paying subscribers of the platform will be able to download content directly to their mobile device to enjoy at their convenience, including all eight seasons of the most acclaimed series of all-time GAME OF THRONES, and other hit series such as CHERNOBYL and BIG LITTLE LIES.

“This new HBO GO feature gives our subscribers the convenience and added value of watching HBO’s unique and exclusive content in a whole new way. If the subscriber is on a plane or in an area with limited connectivity, they can now reap the benefit of offline viewing,” said Dionne Bermudez, Vice President of Digital Distribution and Business Research at HBO Latin America. “We are committed to providing our subscribers the best entertainment experience, paired with the best content, so that subscribers can easily enjoy HBO GO wherever, and whenever they prefer.”

Subscribers will have the following content viewing options: up to 30 days after downloading or up to 48 hours after starting to view the program. Users will not be able to view downloaded content if the subscription has expired, or if the content is no longer available on the platform.

HBO GO is HBO’s digital streaming platform through which subscribers can enjoy unlimited access to all of HBO’s original programming as well as hit movies, documentaries and exclusive specials. HBO GO is available for subscription through Apple and Google digital stores, or as part of a TV subscription where subscribers have free unlimited access to HBO GO anywhere, and anytime.

HBO GO can be accessed through multiple devices, including smartphones and tablets with iOS and Android, Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, and can also be streamed to the TV using Chromecast.

HBO GO has the best of HBO’s exclusive content, features thousands of high-quality titles, including original series, movies, documentaries, HBO specials, Hollywood blockbuster releases before any other subscription service, as well as a selection of the best international and independent films. Also, fully available on the platform is HBO Latin America’s original content, which has been recognized as one of the most innovative and internationally acclaimed programming on television, obtaining more than 50 awards including an International Emmy.
