SMARTPHONE USERS MAY SOON BE ABLE TO CHANGE PROVIDERS WITHOUT LOSING THEIR NUMBER

It seems Barbados will soon be like other countries who are consumer oriented in allowing number portability.

This matter was hinted at by <strong>Senator Kay McConney</strong> at Hilton Barbados recently, when telecoms provider<strong> Flow</strong> was alerting stakeholders and customers how new services and subscriptions are now available.

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Smart Technology said Flow is at the forefront of talks to enable mobile users to carry their number from one network to another without any hassle; –

While not giving any timeline as to when the major game changer would finally become reality, Senator McConney also suggested new improvements were coming for key Government departments which allow the public to use their services from their tablet or smartphone device; –

Flow had a special launch in the Needham’s Ballroom alerting current clients and potential new ones how their bundled services will be increasing speed and and include WiFi extenders for smoother signals.
