The president of the Barbados Dental Association is accusing certain Barbadians of wishing to shirk a work ethic for unjustified rewards.
Addressing fellow dentists, the press and various stakeholders including Lt Col Jeffrey Bostic – the Minister of Health & Wellness at Accra Beach Resort recently, in his capacity as head of that medical NGO expressed concern of the Bajan dental landscape, he made a number of suggestions in what supposed to be a concise vote of thanks…
Not only that, he gave an impression that too many of the local workforce want to get something for nothing and ignore the very clients who pay their salaries; –
in seeking the urgent attention of the current Minister of Health and Wellness, also gave a failing grade to Colonel Bostic’s predecessor when it came to implementing tenets of that portfolio; –
sought to get the view of some dental assistants on the comments from the BDA President, those who dared to reply under condition of anonymity said too many dentists expect staff to work long hours for small pay and follow orders without question.
In addition, when the employers also readjust their shifts to accommodate personal needs, that’s no problem, yet – if an assistant is bold enough to make note of same, then they imply their tenure is soon due for appraisal…
