The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to remind the public that the geophysical work being undertaken at Worthing Beach in Christ Church is still ongoing. This work is being conducted to help determine the conditions for laying the permanent outfall.

The work platform and drilling rig currently on-site, will be moved into the sea at Sandy Beach on Wednesday, May 29th where drilling is expected to continue over the next two weeks, weather and sea conditions permitting.

The drilling may cause discolouration of the water near the rig. Therefore, the Authority is advising divers and sea bathers to exercise caution and stay a safe distance away from the drilling site.
