BARBADIAN WINS GOLD AT CANADIAN SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS

MARK SEALY the four-time Caribbean 50-plus champion captured the gold medal at the 2019 Canadian Squash Championships in the men’s 55-plus division at Mayfair Lakeshore Club in Toronto today, May 04, 2019.

Sealy, the No. 1 seed who received a bye in the first round sailed through the tournament to reach the final, after he defeated Canadians Jamie Allen 11-7,11-7,11-4 in the round of 16, Tom Brown 11-5,11-7,11-6 in the quarterfinals and Brad Munro 11-7,11-2,11-7 in the semifinals.

Sealy then faced the 3/4 seed Canadian Bill Lam in the final to win the match 11-4, 11-4, 11-2 and claim his second straight title in the 55-plus division.
