A local environmental consultant warns a persistence in using polystyrene or styrofoam containers can lead to dangerous side effects.
This urgent cry of caution from , the CEO of Think Design, who engineered the successful redesign of Star Chick for HACCP verified poultry packaging, was part of the panellists attending last week’s Town Hall meeting at the Graydon Sealy Secondary on Paddock Road in Dalkeith, St Michael.
He explained if a consumer uses a container and places it straight into the microwave or what happens when a fried fish vendor drops a hot piece of product straight into the styrofoam container and what hazards emerge from this dangerous practice – which means when vendors use ecologically sound bio-ware they’re actually looking to make their customers are around for longer; –
