Salvation Army donors urged to submit TAMIS numbers
Barbadians who supported The Salvation Army’s recent Christmas Kettle fundraising appeal, have not submitted their Tax Information Numbers (TIN) and may not be able to file those donations on their income tax returns.
Major Walcott said The Army was hoping for a quick response so that donors would not be disadvantaged.
“We are grateful to Barbadians for their generosity during the recent Kettle and Letter appeals, including those persons who visit us to donate via the Internet. We have delayed uploading the donation information, and now Government has given us until the end of this month, so we are appealing to people to please call or email us with their TIN numbers.
He said donors could either call, or preferably email The Salvation Army to submit the information.
“We’re asking people to call us at 426-2467 or 228-1361, or to contact us via email at barbados_HQ@car.salvationarmy.org to submit their TIN numbers by March 22, ahead of our deadline for uploading the information to TAMIS.”
