PINELANDS YOUTH SOCCER ACADEMY RECEIVES DONATION FROM ISLAND VILLAS LTD
Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy is kicking off the new year with a boost in resources thanks to a donation of a brand new John Deere ride-on lawn tractor from local real estate company, Island Villas Ltd.

Making the presentation to the team on Saturday morning at the Parkinson Resource Centre, Managing Director of Island Villas, Richard Eames, praised the Academy for their contribution to the community both on and off the pitch.
“These remarkable young people, their coaches and everyone involved at Pinelands Youth Soccer Academy have shown how sport has the power to bring communities together and to inspire and empower youth. As Island Villas gears up to celebrate the launch of our ‘20/20‘ campaign, marking our 20 years in business in Barbados and looking forward to the future, we are excited to kick off our activities with this presentation of a John Deere mower to the Academy.”
Flanked by some of the close to 100 children involved with the Academy, Coach Fernando ‘Burga’ Best thanked the company for their donation and explained that the lawn tractor will be a tremendous help in maintaining the pitch, a significant undertaking presently being done with only a standard lawn mower.
“Giving back to the community is a key focus of the long-standing Island Villas Charity Fund” says Eames. Following a tour of the facility with Academy Secretary, Renee Smith, Eames wished Pinelands continued success in the coming year.
