WATER RESOURCES MINISTRY UNDERTAKING REVAMP OF SOUTH COAST SEWERAGE TREATMENT PLANT – Pt 2

Minister of Water Resources & Energy, Wilfred Abrahams just shared with the press how the reality is that while the Bridgetown Plant can be upgraded to a tertiary status if needed, which means water treated there can be used for irrigation instead of potable water; nevertheless the South Coast Sewerage Treatment Plant is clearly reaching its shelf life and it is a matter of when and not if to replace it, which means new funding must be sourced and quickly.

He added while Cabinet may look at other matters in the Official Agenda, the stark reality is the Sewerage Challenge immediately arises in other matters for Cabinet’s minutes…
