The Ministry of Commerce, Entrepreneurship and Small Business is looking to finalise efforts in ensuring Barbados not only becomes an entrepreneurial hub but to provide a “hand-up” for those recently affected by right-sizing during debt restructuring retrenchments…
Minister of that portfolio, Dwight Sutherland, addressed fellow MP’s, stakeholders and the media yesterday in the Harbour Industrial Park for the launch of an unsecured loan of $5,000.00 from the Trust Fund for all Barbadians who wish to form their own company.
This endeavour was not only praised by Acting Prime Minister George Payne but he added to the initiative.
The Trust Loans fund is a revolving pool of an initial tranche of ten million dollars to be replenished annually, where applicants on successful repayment on a rate of approximately 2 per cent can then turn around and borrow up to ten thousand dollars thereafter.
Building Number 4 at Suite 102 at the Harbour Industrial Park will accept applications from Monday, their website is trustloansbb.com
