Both famous aphorisms are a fancy way to say while organisers from the Pan Caribbean Martial Arts Tournament 2018 were expecting Wesley Snipes and Hwong Jang Lee (Silver Fox) to grace our shores, climate change turned around and put paid to this notion…

Both Wesley and Hwong are filming in close proximity to each other on China’s mainland finishing exciting new movies, however this is a part of China facing a major typhoon and flights have been grounded for safety. This means by the time the all clear is given, the Tournament would have come and gone!

Taking lumps of coal and squeezing them into diamonds, both Professor Christopher Francis and Sifu (teacher) Altab Aziz have instead guaranteed the presence of O-Sensei Alexey Kunin, Conan Lee in addition to Cynthia Rothrock who is still on board for this magnificent Martial Arts event!

O-Sensei Kunin taught US troops the combat version of Jiu-Jitsu during the first Gulf War in 1991, while Conan Lee is the man who not only taught but gave Jacky Chan his break in movies!

Cynthia Rothrock has a film career spanning over three decades (Child actress? Maybe… Immortal? Only Duncan MacLeod knows for sure…) and remains active not only in the cinema but as a teacher, she in fact oversaw Sifu Altab Aziz‘ black belt exam!
