A commitment to caring for children and the community has given rise to a new partnership between Republic Bank’s Limegrove branch and the Marina Brewster Centre at Farrs, St. Peter.

Senior Child Care Officer and Residential Coordinator, Esther Bayley, welcomed the initiative as she received the first contribution of supplies donated by the staff of the Limegrove branch, and presented by a team led by Customer Service Manager, Renata Goodman.

Speaking as she introduced the Republic Bank Limegrove team to both Bayley and House Parent, Enid Norville, the Customer Service Manager said the decision to adopt the Marina Brewster Centre was the launch of a community initiative fully supported by the staff and management team at Limegrove.

“We want this to be an ongoing initiative whereby we can give back to the community and assist the management here at the Marina Brewster Centre in fostering the caring and family centered environment that is in the best interest of the children,” Goodman said.

Bayley in turn thanked Goodman and the Limegrove team for being sensitive to the needs of the children and the Child Care Board generally.

We do appreciate when persons from corporate Barbados get involved in enhancing the lives of our children in tangible ways and also socially as this greatly assists in preparing them to be better citizens,” Bayley said.

The senior child care officer said the partnership augured well for assisting the Child Care Board in its ongoing efforts to promote a family styled approach at all of its homes.
