15 PER CENT OF BAJANS ABANDON LOTTERY TICKETS WITH MINOR WINNINGS AMOUNT TO MAJOR LUMP OF UNCLAIMED PRIZES

It was an attorney who came forward to collect the prize of 2.47 million dollars from the Mega 6 game of IGT at Independence Square.

Andrew Willoughby was accompanied by his son and greeted by the owner of the Reddy Kilowatt Co-Op which sold the winning ticket as well as senior personnel from IGT over the weekend.

Speaking to reporters briefly, the affable lawyer gave a brief statement and even briefer description of the lucky winner; –

Meanwhile, Operations Manager Shelly Ann Hee Chung noticed a disturbing trend when people were frustrated at not achieving the major victory.

She explained to the press how there’s a large sum of cash which built up from people who do not examine their tickets thoroughly.

The IGT Operations Manager says the abandoned prizes are as much as 15% from the last multi-million draw alone, so she is urging anyone who still have tickets to double check their numbers; –

Mrs Hee Chung also reminded players during the first week of next month there is a chance for players to win a quarter of a million dollars in a hew game; –
