POLICE URGE ALL BAJANS TO BEHAVE EVEN IF ELECTION RESULTS DO NOT MEET WITH EXPECTATIONS

The Royal Barbados Police Force is satisfied with the general behaviour of the Public, supporters of various Political Parties and individual candidates thus far; they shared in a statement they’re also pleased with Campaign managers and officials for maintaining a consistently high standard.

The Force notes this Election was particularly challenging on police resources; despite this, female and male officers must also be commended for their hard work and commitment to ensuring citizens and visitors can continue to feel safe going about their daily lives.

The Electoral & Boundaries Commission has been running Ads advising and educating Barbadians to the Do’s & Don’ts of the Electoral process and its Rules and Laws. So far, there has been no level of disorder throughout the current Campaign.

Inspector Rodney Inniss stated there will be Police patrols on all highways & byways to ensure law and order for all other normal activities. From a crime prevention perspective, they caution everyone to continue to be observant – secure valuables, vehicles and residences as you go about your business or head out for casting your ballots.

Police urge all persons to be on your best behaviour, observe all rules and requirements of the Law and the processes. Regardless of the final outcome of voting; maintain behaviour & decorum.

The Force will provide any further updates should the need arise throughout Polling Day.
