The 2018 Caribbean Investment Summit slated to be held in St. Kitts and Nevis from May 16-19, will tackle critical issues facing islands providing Citizenship by Investment.
Transparency versus Confidentiality: The Democracy of Information Sharing, Hurricane-Proof Banking: Protecting Against External Impacts and Embracing New Technology for Better CIPs, are several of the critical topics that will be discussed during the high-level summit.
The event is being staged at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort in Frigate Bay and will be attended by hundreds of delegates, all of whom will share their thoughts and insights on the various themes and panel discussions.
The summit will feature international speakers from the United States, Europe, Middle East and the Caribbean from across various sectors including banking, due diligence, risk management and cyber-security, cryptocurrency and real estate among others.
CEO of the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit, Les Khan, said the summit is geared towards drawing investors to the Caribbean while tackling challenges facing the industry’s stakeholders, second citizenship by investment, climate resilience, transparency versus confidentiality in the sector among other areas.
“Our Caribbean Investment Summit is intended to attract as many agents and interested parties into the Caribbean, specifically St. Kitts and Nevis. The intention is to showcase the Caribbean, showcase the opportunities that are there for investment,” Khan explained.
Khan has encouraged international stakeholders to attend the “landmark event“.

From its inception, the event has been designed to attract international dialogue and will include commentary from the most experienced and esteemed professionals in the investor-immigration landscape.”
Additionally, he explained that it will spark conversations about the challenges the Caribbean is facing and what the region has faced in the past.
The 2018 Caribbean Investment Summit will be hosted under the theme: “Unity in the Age of Division, Emerging Trends of CIPs in an Uncertain World“.
