TWO MEN ON REMAND FOR CLOSE TO 2,000 LBS OF GANJA WORTH 3 MILLION PLUS

On Monday the 19th March 2018, The Drug Squad arrested and formally charged Antonio Raymond Browne, 35 years of Glendalough Road, Josey Hill, St Lucy and Damien Omar Gooding, 32 years of Salters Tenantry Road, St. Michael for the following offences which they committed at the residence of Antonio Browne.

Drug Charges
• Possession of cannabis
• Trafficking cannabis
• Possession of cannabis with intent to supply

• Conspiracy to traffic cannabis

• Handling cannabis

The weight of the suspected cannabis is 774.1 kilos (1703.02 lbs) with an estimated value of Three million, ninety six thousand four hundred dollars ($3,096,400.00) Barbados currency.

In addition, Antonio Browne and Damien Gooding were jointly charged for the offence of conspiracy to traffic cannabis which they committed on Sunday the 18th day of March 2018.

Damien Gooding was formally charged for the offence of handling cannabis which he committed at the residence of Antonio Browne on Sunday the 18th of March 2018. A motor van was search was conducted and thirty (30) polythene bags were found packed in the van. These polythene bags were examined and found to contain vegetable matter suspected to be cannabis a controlled drug.

They appeared before Magistrate Wanda Blair in the Holetown Magistrates Court and were remanded to the 14th of April 2018.
