Preconco Limited Celebrates Dedication & Commitment of Their Employees
Preconco Limited recently highlighted the accomplishments of several employees during its Awards and Recognition Ceremony held at the Company’s premises in Lears, St Michael. In addition to paying tribute to those members of staff who have served the Company for 10, 15, 20 years and over, the event also saw awards being presented in the Installation and Production Departments for the Most Promising Supervisor, Most Improved Employee, Supervisor of the Year and Employee of the Year.
Addressing the 100’s of employees in attendance for the presentation ceremony, Operations Manager Joshua Read commended them for their dedication to the Company and noted that several of the installation team members were currently in Bermuda working on a project there and that their commitment to their jobs should not remain unmentioned.
“It’s important that each one of us continuously looks at growth. If we come here every single day and feel like we’ve done the same as the day before, then we need to (look again at our approach). We need to take pride in our facility. We need to look at our behaviours. The mindset in this Company is different from anywhere you will go. The mindset is about forward thinking and finding solutions to problems and providing quality service, and that’s what we’ve been able to do (thus far). That’s why we have been able to grow by 30 plus employees over the past year.”
Speaking on his accomplishment, Production Employee of the Year, David Chandler, said he has been with the company for over 18 years, adding that he feels good about the award.
“I can say that I have achieved quite a lot during my time. My advice to other employees – come to work, try to be early, do what you have to do and do it to the best of your ability.”
Meantime, Production Supervisor of the Year, Alan Maloney said he was overjoyed to receive the award, which includes a seven-day Cruise for two.
“I wasn’t expecting it but I’m very, very happy. I had 11 years of growth with the Company. Some things that really stand out are that I deem myself as a ‘company person‘, I’m very committed to what I do, I enjoy what I do and I would advise anyone to reach above and beyond – to love what you do. Once you love what you do it makes it so much easier. I must also give thanks to the managers and previous managers. I started as a normal operator and (worked) through the ranks.”
Congratulating the staff, Managing Director of Preconco Limited, Mark Maloney, said the Company was here today be because of the commitment, loyalty and trust of the team members. He also reminded the employees that they can trust that where Preconco is striving to go, will be good for them.
