Hornets’ Ian Coke leaves the field on a stretcher, he couldn’t finish the Premier Division match against Young Men’s Social Club.

The footballer injured his knee only a few seconds before the interval. A simple misstep forced the player to leave the game, which eventually ended with Dandy Town’s 7:3 triumph. Coke is now forced to root for his team from the hospital.
This kind of injuries are not uncommon among the footballers and Ian is not the only one to be injured that day — Darell brothers joined the Hornets forward in the hospital after the match. Moreover, this year seems to be rich with injuries as the German Bundesliga player Manuel Neuer will also have to root for his team off the field.
The player expressed his disappointment over the situation as he trained hard with the national squad to help his team in the match against Barbados — the last year National Stadium match resulted in a 3:2 loss for Hornets. Thus, Dandy Town are eager to take their revenge.
However, Ian won’t be able to assist the team as he will be recovering until the very end of the friendlies. Considering Coke having been named the last season MVP and the best scorer of the season, it will be hard for Hornets to do without him.
The live broadcast of the match against Barbados is staged on March 21 four days prior to the duel with Antigua and Barbuda.
