BARBADOS POLICE STILL ON LOOK OUT FOR ‘HIT & RUN’ DRIVER

Police are still actively conducting investigations into a “Hit and Run” accident which occurred sometime after 6:00 pm, on Sunday the 11th of March 2018, along Bibby’s Lane, St. Michael, involving a pedestrian and a motor van, registration number and driver unknown, which resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian – Mr. Ronald Knight 45 years of Exchange Hill, St. Michael.

Circumstances

Mr. Knight was walking along the road on the left side, when he was struck from behind by a green Suzuki Vitara motor van, which ran over him in the process, as the driver drove away without stopping.

The pedestrian received multiple injuries to the body. To date his condition is listed as critical but stable.

Investigations are continuing. We are continuing our appeal to anyone who may have witness this accident or can provide any information to assist us in the investigation to contact the District ‘A’ Police station at telephone 430-7242 or 430-7246, the Operations Control Room at 430-7100 or any police station.
