BAJAN MANUFACTURER LOOKS TO EDUCATE CUSTOMERS TO KNOW THE SAME THING AS CONTRACTORS TO MAKE BETTER BUILDINGS
Rock Hard Cement Barbados recently hosted a seminar for local contractors, artisans and distributors as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that customers have access to all of the technical knowledge and benefits when working with Rock Hard Cement.

Operations Supervisor, Darren Matthews says the main aim of the session was to educate users and potential users on the quality of Rock Hard Cement, specifically the 42.5R Hydraulic cement which is sold in 42.5 KG bags. The emphasis was on the latest techniques in order to achieve the best end results.
“(Participants) had a demonstration on the advantages of the hydraulic cement, the advantage of vibrating the concrete so that they could witness where errors came from and how they can avoid these errors (to get the best results when) using Rock Hard Cement.”
Mr. Matthews added that the correct mixing and proportioning of materials is essential to ensure that the concrete and mortars for plastering achieves the desired strength, durability and consistency and to allow users to see greater savings. What’s more, he notes that Rock Hard Cement has made it easier for customers, having conducted several tests to ensure that users get the best results from just one bag of cement.
This was the second seminar hosted by the Company and Mr. Matthews notes that RHC will continue to work with its customers to ensure that they not only have access to the highest quality products but also to the best methods to achieve optimum outputs.

The presentation was conducted by Caribbean Concrete Expert, Jerome Chrysostom who says several areas were covered including mixing proportions and the various applications of the hydraulic cement.
“My hope is that customers would understand how to use the product properly, what to use with the product and how it would benefit them be it financially or in terms of a better-quality product. Based on the questions from the seminar, it showed that the individuals are interested in a better product and in a better construction practice. That is what we are looking to incorporate at Rock Hard Cement, not just in terms of selling cement, but selling a better product (for better industry results).”
