Barbadian students are encouraged to further their studies in New Zealand be it solar power, animal husbandry or similar fields of expertise.

Mrs Jan Henderson is the High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean for Wellington, her consulate facilitated the recent tour of the Wanganui Collegiate Cricket team, they were supposed to play against Queen’s College in Husbands, St James but overnight rains left the grounds too soggy for any action.

After liaising with the Coach Warren Marr and the Tour Manager Gilbert Hokianga, Her Excellency paused to share a moment with BajanReporter.com, it was at that point we got an exclusive interview on the details of the scholarships available;-

The question came up where can young Barbadians find details and the top envoy told BajanReporter.com how the scholarships are easily accessible via any search engine;-

The New Zealand High Commission shares its office space with the Barbados branch of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth offices in Collymore Rock, they can also be found on Twitter as “NZinCaribbean.”
