NEW ERA OF PROMOTION ON BARBADIAN NEWS BLOG AS ‘SOLUTIONS BARBADOS’ JOINS STABLE OF ADVERTISERS

While BajanReporter.com started delivering opinionated opinions 12 years ago and has survived two elections, it is only now part of the new political landscape decided to use the alternative online method to reach the Bajan electorate.

As a result, Solutions Barbados has chosen to express their views on Barbados’ first News-Blog to go toe to toe with traditional News outlets for advertising revenue. They will continue to have prominent display on the leader of alternative news until – and even after – the final bell has rung for the latest voting, constitutionally due by June this year… Other parties were also approached, but all displayed typical Bajan caution and conservatism and now have been caught napping!

Solutions Barbados came into being July 2015 after Prime Minister Freundel Stuart declared only political entities have the right to suggest the direction of Barbados’ economic future.

BajanReporter.com started as a blog in December 2006 initially providing alternate views on sports, art and music due to its founder being part of the Civil Service at that point.

On becoming private sector 3 years later, creator and former TV anchor Ian Bourne guided BajanReporter.com into the murky and chimerical world of politics and went through a baptism of fire covering the Owen Arthur coup against Mia Mottley from October 2010 to the former PM’s rapid and metaphoric self-immolation in July 2014.

Appreciating and supporting small business entities over the years via advertising augmented with social media at reasonable rates compared to print, nevertheless, many of BajanReporter.com‘s advertisers have been repeat clientele.
