IDB extends deadline for open call for artists
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is extending the deadline for artists to participate in an open call that is aimed for those who want to provoke, innovate and offer new perspectives on the development challenges of the region, as well as to demonstrate the immense artistic creativity of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Artists from Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States can participate.
Participating artworks should reflect one of the following development challenges in the region: diversity and inclusion, innovation, economic growth and globalization, gender equality, environmental sustainability, and justice.
To participate, artists should read the terms, conditions of the contest, register, and send the work and its justification through this link.
The winning proposals will create a public sidewalk art installation comprising of over 150 artworks.
The installation aims to provoke audiences to think of a dynamic and united region that will bet on disruptive change and the role of art and creativity in development.
