SALVATION ARMY JOIN FORCES WITH MORMONS TO PROVIDE HURRICANE RELIEF FOR FRENCH ST MARTIN

Captain Derrick Mitchell; Commanding Officer of the Salvation Army’s St. Lucia Corps in association with the Mormon Church of Castries sent a shipment of items to The Salvation Army in St. Maarten.

This was vouchsafed by Major Darrell Wilkinson, The Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army in Barbados & St. Lucia how the shipment included seventeen-hundred hygiene kits from the Mormon Church.

This partnership with the Church of Latter Day Saints worked well and they’ll continue through this medium to support their brothers and sisters in the French and Dutch Islands in particular.

The Salvation Army made contact with the Barbados Defense Force to see how quickly they can make supplies available to Dominica. So far, the Salvation Army, Barbados & St. Lucia Division provided twelve-hundred hygiene kits to Dominica and strive to give more in the near future.

Meanwhile Major Wilkinson is hoiping to send a team to Dominica to assess, assist and meet with the Rev. Dr. Novelle Josiah of the Methodist Church in Dominica.

The Salvation Army, Barbados Division takes this time to appeal to all Barbadians to support this effort to help Our Caribbean Brothers & Sisters in Dominica.
