Road Fatality in Salters, Minivan involved with Collision

Police are continuing to investigate the Road fatality which occurred sometime after 1:00 pm on Monday the 11th of September 2017, along Salters Road, St. Michael, which resulted in the death of Purshothamdos Samtani 70 years of Elizabeth Park, Christ Church.

Samtani was driving his motor car along Salters Road when his vehicle became involved in a collision with a minibus being driven by Nigel Burrowes 41 years of Cherry Grove, St. John, and a motor car being driven by Steven Drummond 43 years of St. Silas Heights, St. James.

Samtani died at the scene. Five passengers aboard the minibus received non-life threatening injuries, mainly back, neck, and leg related pains. Three of these passengers were transported to the QEH by ambulance for medical attention. Nigel Burrowes or Steven Drummond did not complain for any injuries at the time.

One Fire tender and seven fire Officers under the command of Acting Deputy Chief Fire Officer Errol Gaskin responded to the scene of the accident.
