CANADIAN VISITOR PAYS FINES ON 13 KILOS OF GANJA

Canadian visitor Mellissa Jacythnia McMillan, 37 years, who was arrested and charged on a number of drug related offences committed at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday 20th September 2017, reappeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District ‘C’ Magistrates Court yesterday, having been remanded to prison on her first court appearance on 21st September 2017.

She pleaded guilty to all of the offences and was fined $15,000.00 forthwith, for the offences of Possession of Cannabis. $10,000.00 forthwith for the offence of Importation of Cannabis; Reprimanded and Discharged (R&D) for the offences of Trafficking of Cannabis, and Possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

The fines were paid, and she was handed over to immigration for deportation.
