Productive Business Solutions (PBS) recently launched new printer systems in Barbados with never-before-seen applications that can meet several of today’s workplace demands including the need to increase productivity and to be accessible on and off the worksite.

The new fleet Xerox multifunction printers were unveiled to the business community including business owners, computer and IT professionals at a special function at the Hilton Hotel, recently.

PBS’ General Manager in Barbados, Elvin Nash described the systems as the new Office Assistants with “disruptive technology that changes the status quo“. He said the systems have expanded on the functionality of previous printers and by so doing allows people to work faster, better and smarter.

Country Manager for Xerox, Pedro Miraben highlighted the relationship between Xerox and PBS noting that Xerox’s technical experience was available to help printer users.

The new ConnectKey enabled printers and multi-function devices provide intuitive user experience and benchmark security as they enable next-generation services.

During the launch, PBS officials demonstrated how those features worked to potential customers who reacted with questions and positive comments.

One of these features was the printers’ tablet-like interfaces with their gesture-based touch screen controls and apps which facilitate customisation by organisations and individuals. They can be instantly connected to mobile and cloud devices right from the user interface with access to pre-loaded, cloud hosted services allowing people, on or off their work sites, to connect to the devices at any time.

The multi-function printers also connect directly to Google Drive, One Drive and Dropbox plus several additional options through Xerox App Gallery. The gallery includes the Xerox Easy Translator Service app, which held much interest during the launch, when guests saw documents translated from Spanish to English and vice versa.

Potential customers also saw how operation of the system’s benchmark security, which provides multi-level protection for both documents and data; guards against and eliminate emerging threats and meets or exceeds regulatory compliance.
