Red Cross thankful for donation of stove by Sol and Rotary West
The Barbados Red Cross is very grateful in receiving an industrial Stove for their Meals on Wheels Kitchen.
Kevin Watson, President of the club Rotary West explained how staff members of the Non Governmental Organisation reported back to senior officers allowing for the donation;-
People who benefit from daily meals of the Barbados Red Cross Meals On Wheels Programme, are the elderly, poor, persons with ailments, and, incapacitated including the blind and amputees.
Ezra Prescod, Country Manager of SOL Barbados and a Rotary West member explained how that stove is an important part of the equipment used in preparation of meals on a daily basis for the recipients.
He said it was a pleasure for both Sol Barbados Limited and the Rotary Club of Barbados West, to tangibly recognize the importance of caring for those most vulnerable in our communities;-
Edmond Bradshaw of the Red Cross Society was thoroughy effusive in giving thanks for these two entities and their representatives for the donation of the Vulcan stove that will help the Red Cross to provide sustenance and maintain good health for the elderly, poor and incapacitated;-
