ONE MILLION DOLLAR DRUG HAUL

Members of the Drug Squad arrested and charged a 33 year old St. James man for a number of drug related offences worth over one million, these were committed on Friday 26th May 2017, while at Payne’s Bay Beach, St. James. He is 33 year old Gregory Leon Holder from #66 Husband’s Terrace, St. James.

Holder was arrested and formally charged for:

  • Possession of Cannabis
  • Trafficking of Cannabis
  • Possession with Intent to Supply cannabis

Circumstances

(FILE IMAGE) Police acting on information received went to Payne’s Bay Beach, St. James, where Holder along with other persons were observed dragging a number of polythene bags along the beach. These persons were approached by police and ran away. They were pursued and Holder apprehended. The bags were subsequently search and the cannabis discovered.

Total weight of the cannabis, 620.4 Lbs, with an estimated street value of One Million, One Hundred and Twenty Eight Thousand Dollars, ($1,128,000.00)

Holder appeared before Magistrate Wanda Blair in the Holetown Magistrates Court on Tuesday 30th May 2017, and was remanded to prison to await sentencing.
