Firearm & Ammunition Discovery in Harts Gap

Police have arrested and formally charge Almal Lamar Phillips 28 years of 1D Pavilion Terrace, Deacons Farm, St. Michael, for Unlawful possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful possession of ten (10) rounds of ammunition. These offences were committed on Tuesday the 13th of June 2017, while at Harts Gap, Christ Church.

Circumstances

Members of the Anti-Gun Unit were conducting an operation in the Harts Gap, Christ Church area where Phillips was seen driving a motor car. A subsequent search revealed the firearm and ammunition in his possession. He was arrested and charged for the offences.

Phillips appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Friday the 16th of June 2017. He was remanded to prison to reappear in court on the 14th of July 2017.
