Barbados Impresses at Coatings Conference
Forty (40) CEOs from around the globe voted Barbados top meeting destination in 60 years. The accolades came from members of the Coatings Research Group (CRGI) who co-hosted a industry event with local paint champion Harris Paints at The Crane Resort.
CRGI is an association of international paint and coatings companies, each with annual turnover of 20 Million – 4 Billion USD, and for many, despite hectic travel schedules, it was the first trip to Barbados from destinations as far afield as New Zealand, India, Portugal, Ireland, USA, Canada, Mexico and Argentina.
Conference activities included a feature address on Innovation by Harris Paints CEO, Ian Kenyon, as well as presentations on industry best practices on topics such as Marketing to Millennials, Health and Safety and the latest research on aspects of formulation and colour consistency.
Many CEOs visited with their families, numbering 70 people in total who enjoyed a range of excursions during their stay.
“We have been overwhelmed by the success of the event”, remarked Kenyon. “Without exception the attendees along with their families, had a tremendous experience at The Crane, and were bowled over by the island, its people, the friendly nature of Bajans and the general safety and beauty Barbados had to offer.”
