In observance of International Women’s Day 2017, Future Quest Services and CaribVoiceRadio in association with the Business & Professional Women’s Club of Barbados (BPW Barbados) will be hosting “Ordinary Women Extraordinary Lives” a women’s empowerment event, on 18th March 2017.

Scheduled to be held at Building #2, BIDC Building from 9AM-2PM, the “Ordinary Women, Extraordinary Lives” seminar will focus on the International Women’s Day Theme “Be Bold for Change and brings together a powerful team of local and international speakers sharing how they as “ordinary women” have lead “extraordinary lives” through their career, personal and overall life experiences.

(CLICK FOR BIGGER) Speakers include Atlanta-based business owners Hana Ali and Suzanne Mohr along with local Human Resource Specialist Rosalind Jackson, Customer Service Coach Dawn Lovell and Educator Grace Showan. The lone male on the programme Aubry Padmore, a Life Coach from Atlanta, will share his perspectives and experiences coaching and developing women, assisting them in reaching their goals.

The objective of this seminar is to implore women to #BeBoldForChange, using their natural talents and skills to overcome obstacles, advance themselves, advance their cause and ultimately advance their nation. When women do well, entire nations do even better. On this special occasion, two “ordinary” Barbadian women living “extraordinary” lives will be honored for their life’s work. The seminar is geared toward women of all professions, of all ages, wanting to learn more about success, opportunities, self-development and overcoming obstacles.

Part proceeds of this event will go toward the BPW Crisis Centre & Shelter projects which offer self-development programmes, gender-based violence interventions and temporary shelter to women and girls in need.
