Labour Minister urges Bajans to focus on goals not circumstances

A local Cabinet Minister is urging her fellow Barbadians to never lose sight of the goals they use to advance their mindsets and capabilities.

Speaking at the National Insurance Scheme’s Awards Ceremony and Dinner at Needham’s Point recently, Senator the Dr Esther Byer Suckoo as Labour Minister expressed delight in the anticipation of observing how the NIS will have its own Jubilee of five decades next year, she says when people focus on future projects and not dwell in current challenges it fulfills God’s mandate for humanity.

Quoting both St Paul and Winston Churchill, she urged her audience to continue to review their lives and careers and use resolutions as a means of continuous improvement.

The ceremony celebrated long standing service from staffers who spent at least 10 years at NIS and even longer with the institution.
