Ms. Sandra Husbands, BLP Candidate for the Constituency of St. James South will launch a series of voter education presentations for the St. James South Constituency, with an invitation extended to all Barbadians. The first presentation, ‘How The Economy Works‘ comes off Monday, Jan 30th, 6:p.m. at Queens College. Ms. Husbands will explore, in layman terms, the inter-workings of economic activities, and how decision-making by all the players impacts the overall performance of our economy. In this interactive session, participants will be able to make greater sense of all that is said and written about our economy, and themselves make better decisions about how they spend and invest their money.

Sandra is a big supporter of public engagement in the affairs of our country. She deeply believes that having a government that truly works in the best interest of the country requires informed citizens who not only vote, but also requires citizens to be of independent thought and to ask the tough questions which keep their political leaders honest. She is happy to lead the movement that brings voters into the know and promotes their active engagement.

Sandra is a former President of The Barbados Small Business Association, and lead the effort which saw the formation the Caribbean Association of Small and Medium Enterprises. She is a former BLP Senator, holds a Masters degree in International Trade Policy and lectures in Leadership at UWI Cave Hill.
