The Barbados Bankers Association (TBBA) revealed effective August 1, 2016 Mr. Glyne Harrison, President, will be succeeded by Mr. David Noel, Managing Director, Caribbean East, Bank of Nova Scotia.
As such, Mr. Noel will be the principal TBBA spokesperson to communicate the perspective of the banking industry to government, regulators and stakeholders inclusive of the media and the public.
He will also provide the leadership of the Association to ensure that consumers continue to benefit from a healthy, stable and competitive banking industry.
An attorney-at-law and CFA Charterholder with over 15 years experience in banking, Mr. Noel comes into the role with a wide perspective and insight in the world of banking.

Mr. Noel’s banking credentials, along with his familiarity with the banking industry in Barbados and the region are expected to provide strong levels of leadership and continuity to the role of the TBBA during these challenging economic times.
In accepting the Presidency, Mr. Noel pledged his commitment to carrying forward the work of the Association. He also expressed the Board’s appreciation to the outgoing President Mr. Harrison for the contributions made during his tenure over the past three years.

TBBA is a membership association comprising the five commercial banks in Barbados.
