Flow congratulates Lil Rick on ‘perfect season’
Flow Barbados is extending heartiest congratulations to company ambassador Lil Rick for capturing the Party Monarch, Stag Jam Tune and the Tune of the Crop titles with his hit song ‘I’z A Bajan‘.
‘I’z A Bajan’, with its infectious rhythm and patriotic cry, was duly recognised as the most frequently played song during the Foreday Morning Jam through The City on Saturday and on Spring Garden during Kadooment Day on Monday.
“Lil Rick has enjoyed an incredible season and he has proven that after twenty years in the business his unique brand is as strong as ever,” according to Marilyn Sealy, Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Flow Barbados.
Lil Rick has been an ambassador for the telecoms provider since 2013.
“In our 50th year of independence, his message of pride, industry and unity has resonated with the entire country, and on behalf of the entire Flow family, both in Barbados and around the Caribbean, we offer Lil Rick huge congratulations on what can only be described as the perfect season.”
Sealy, who noted that Flow had pumped more than $500,000 into the ‘Sweetest Summer Festival’, also gave the entire season two thumbs up.
“The feeling this year was special and Flow was pleased to be a part of the festival in every aspect, from the smallest limes to the biggest of fetes. We also had a heavy presence on the road with several major bands, and from a sponsor’s perspective, we were very pleased that the festival was incident free and enjoyed by all,” she said.
Sealy said that Flow had facilitated the hosting of several major events and fetes including Flow Soca on de Hill, Flow Dis is Rick, Flow Jalapeño Sunrise, Soca Ignition, Awaken, Cloud 10, Bucketfest, UV Voyage, UV Vibe, Mimosa, We Ting, Island Mas Breakfast Party, Sorch Jam, Limerz Cruise, Party Central, Bliss, Puff of Colour, Bacchanal Thursdays, Elevate, Fyah de Wuk, Duck Work, Bashment Soca and Lush.
The company was also on the road during Foreday Morning and Kadooment Day with bands such as Mixed Nutz, Island Fusion, Colours, Flair, Chocolate Army, Caesar’s Army, EV Entertainment, Aura, Outrage and Baje International.
