Earthquake West of Trinidad: 5.7 magnitude
Trinidadians at 8:22 this morning experienced an earthquake on the Paria peninsula, west of Trinidad.
(IMAGE VIA: ttnewsflash.com) The event was verified by the UWI’s St Augustine Seismic Research Centre’s website and placed at 10.60°N and 62.56°W. The magnitude was 5.7 and the depth was 79 km.
BajanReporter.com chatted via Facebook with a few Trinidadians who not only confirmed but said the shaking was very light and much closer to Venezuela – it was also felt in Grenada.
