Isle&Dine hosts to gain insights at briefing

Barbadians eager to entertain and host tourists and others in their homes with authentic dining experiences will have an opportunity to find out how to do so when Isle&Dine kicks off its first host briefing this month.

Isle&Dine is a technology platform where customers book and purchase dining experiences hosted by home cooks and chefs who prepare local cuisine in their homes or other settings. Its vision is to be the premier social technology hospitality brand in the Caribbean.

The meeting for interested hosts takes place on Tuesday February 23 at the Warrens Office Complex at 4 p.m. Co-founder of Isle&Dine and Strategy & Marketing Communications Lead, Heather Barker says that the briefing is targeting those who have already signed up to the platform or are interested in doing so.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to learn more about how Isle&Dine works, and how to create experiences that will attract diners and revenue. They’ll also hear from our strategic partners in the tourism industry on hosting authentic experiences, as well as receive health and safety tips,” Ms. Barker explained.

The meeting is not only for established or trained chefs. “Culinary graduates as well as enthusiastic home cooks in any parish who love entertaining are more than welcome to come. It’s a great opportunity for entrepreneurship,” the Strategy & Marketing Communications Lead noted.

The web platform is found at www.isleanddine.com. Those interested in attending the briefing should email social@isleanddine.com after they've signed up to be a host via the website.
