If you need to get some cash, as you park your car to visit an ATM, lock it! Then hide your fingers when punching in your password – a warning has been issued by the Royal Barbados Police Force to watch out for tech-savvy skimmers from abroad looking to copy your PIN!

As if that was not enough, cops also warn of local car parts teams who try to steal vehicles to repair a similar make of damaged automobile…

Another threat addressed was the possibility cars of particular types and brands are earmarked for theft since a similar vehicle lacks a certain part.
Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch spoke with media as well, he was quick to alert reporters these auto thefts are not just any part of Barbados but all through the country and make sure to park near streetlights and lock your vehicle even if only stopping to collect a parcel.

ASP Welch also hinted breakthroughs are forthcoming in a noted robbery and home invasion but has not given further details at this point.
