Accident at Benthams
Police are investigating a serious accident which occurred on Tuesday February 2, 2016 about 9:15 am at Benthams Road, St. Lucy involving a route taxi driven by Adrian Jackman, 41 years of Rose Hill, St. Peter.
Eighteen (18) persons complained of sustaining injuries including the driver and the conductor. The remaining persons were students. Sixteen persons (16) were treated at the scene and discharged while two (2) were transported to the QEH by ambulances.
Two (2) doctors and support staff responded from the QEH. Also responding were members of the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), the Barbados Fire Service along with QEH and BDF ambulances.
