Accompanied by fiancée Diana Lemo, Turney turned up at Flow’s Windsor Lodge office completely unaware that he was one of the two finalists selected for the Grand Prize.

“They called me the day before and told me I was a winner but I never thought I would be winning the car. I arrived here in a 1996 Mitsubishi L200 totally unaware of what was going on. I’m so happy it’s hard to explain but I must thank Flow for this wonderful prize,” he said.

Turney, a father of two, said his family had three cell phones, two landline connections, broadband internet, as well as Flow TV with Barbados' leading telecommunications provider.

Shelly Ann Hee Chung, Head of Marketing, Flow Barbados, said over $300,000 in cash and prizes were offered in the ‘Let Christmas Flow‘ promotion. She also highlighted the company’s charitable efforts as part of its wider Christmas campaign.

"This was Flow's first Christmas in Barbados and we were pleased to facilitate a campaign that provided our customers with tangible rewards and incentives," she said.

“We were also pleased to connect deserving Barbadians with the gift of hope. We managed to raise just over $10,000 for the Barbados Cancer Society and the HIV/AIDS Commission, and we took more than 80 youngsters shopping in The City to realise their Christmas wish lists. We now look forward to a year filled with connectivity for all Barbadians.”
