Opposition Leader urges Social Media used to give schedule for St Thomas, St Joseph Residents

Mia MottleyOpposition Leader and Political Leader of the BLP – is amazed at how the Barbados Water Authority is sending only five tankers to dry areas in St Joseph and St Thomas, where residents have had intermittent service for almost two months now.

She was reacting to a claim by Water Resources Minister Dr David Estwick that the recent involvement by the Opposition in assisting water-strapped people from those parishes was to seek a voting opportunity.

Ms Mottley says a schedule for the water starved residents needs to be crafted, and relying on regular notices on radio and print is not enough;-
